Matthew 25:31-46
‘Then the King will say to those on his right hand, “Come, you whom my Father has blessed, take for your heritage the kingdom prepared for you since the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you made me welcome; naked and you clothed me, sick and you visited me, in prison and you came to see me.”
Some passages deserve comments while others we just have to sit with them. Sit with today’s passage and see yourself reflected in it. It’s not about church affiliation, not about religion. It is just about being a spiritual being who sees beyond the facade. Why would God be in prison, unhoused, or needing clothing? Because God’s favorite place to be is as close as He can be to his creation. Maybe heaven is separated from earth by the thinnest of membranes.
Be careful, you might bump into the divine before you leave your home.
