STITCH (Sewing Together in the Caring Highlands) has survived a year of challenges! A long-time ministry of Highland Presbyterian Church and the Kentucky Refugee Ministry, STITCH continues to teach refugee women how develop English skills and how to help support their families in Louisville by developing sewing skills.

On Sunday, October 12, from 9:30 AM until noon, Springdale will also continue to support this worthy cause by hosting our annual STITCH Bazaar. Newcomer seamstresses will sell their colorful handmade creations in Springdale’s Upstairs Gathering Area. You’ll discover reasonably priced one-of-a-kind gifts that will delight any recipient—beautiful pillows, purses, scarves, quilts, jewelry, cloth microwave ware, baby blankets, etc. One hundred per cent of every purchase goes back to the seamstress herself and promotes the independence of a refugee family.

This year the STITCH seamstresses promise to bring all kinds of Christmas-themed crafts, so if you have hard-to-shop-for friends, family, or co-workers, you can mark them off your Christmas list early by shopping at the STITCH Bazaar on Sunday, October 12.

OUTDOOR MASS. Bring your pets for the Blessing of the Animals. All pets need to be on leaches or in crates.
