Luke 6:12-19
Jesus went out into the hills to pray; and he spent the whole night in prayer to God.
Today is the feast day of St Simon and Jude. It’s interesting that we don’t know a whole lot about these two except that Jesus called them to be apostles. He called them not just to complete the number 12 but to them was given a quiet ministry. In their own quiet and unique way to helped grow the seed of the Kingdom which Jesus planted.
Do you know that you too have been summoned? We are called into existence at this time in history so that we too can add our unique pieces to this mosaic of the kingdom. We have a unique light. So today don’t think yourself as just taking up space. Jesus spent a long time in prayer so that this life you are may experience earthly existence.
